The Magbobote

ABS-CBN interviewed a magbobote today. With the price hike, he and his family have to make do with 2 meals a day. I admire this magbobote, when he said while smiling that he and his family would go on. As long as he has work, he will not give up.

His spirit in the face of great adversity makes me proud of being Pinoy.

*A magbobote is someone who collects bottles, tin cans, scrap metal, old papers, and sells it to the factory. The common image of a magbobote is someone riding a bicycle, attached to a cart.
